Assessment toolkit / ASSESSMENT APPROACH

Enterprise maturity & assessments

Where should improvement begin?

Inspect enterprise capability, executive intelligence, AI readiness, knowledge maturity and value realization.

Assessment approachDocumented approach · validation required

When this is useful

Use a scoped assessment when the organization needs an evidenced baseline and a clear improvement decision. A bounded operational fix may not need an enterprise-wide assessment.

How it fits in the portfolio

The assessment approach is described in AEM and can use ECF capability records and AEAF architecture views.

What it covers

01

Define the decision

Choose the capability, audience, evidence sources and improvement question.

02

Assess with evidence

Use explicit rubrics for executive intelligence, capability, AI readiness, knowledge or value.

03

Prioritize & revisit

Connect gaps to actions and compare later evidence with the agreed baseline.

ILLUSTRATIVE · NOT A CLIENT RESULT

Improving an order-reconciliation handoff.

Inspect a small approved set of order exceptions, record review effort and reconciliation quality, and use the evidence to prioritize the next action.

What an agreed engagement can produce

A documented baseline, evidence-backed findings, prioritized actions and a review plan with agreed measures.

Limits

The AEM manuscript describes six maturity levels, from Unaware to Autonomous Enterprise. Acextic does not claim validated benchmarking or external accreditation. Outcomes, adoption and governance should be assessed separately from autonomy.

Documented methods and designs don't by themselves show that software is available or that outcomes have been measured.

Start with a real business need.

Connect the method to the workflow, capability or decision you want to improve.
